2D animation

Client: Planstand Werbeagentur

Project: 2D animation I made for the unveiling ceremony of the Audi Q5 in Nuremberg, Germany. The full film spanned an entire stage and served as an animated backdrop for the unveiling ceremony of the Audi Q5 in Nürnberg, Germany. This was an all-night VIP event, maybe you can spot Boris Becker or somebody like that in the crowd in the video at the bottom of the page (I can’t, but he was there). An intelligent water sprinkler system that could spell words was installed over two thirds of the backdrop and exotic dancers danced on the stage for the duration of the roughly ten minute stage show, which culminated in the automobile being rolled out on public display for the first time.

Tools: After Effects, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator

Tasks: Concept, moodboard, animation, final render

A few years later I was messing around with cinema4d and decided to rebuild bits of it, this is what came out of that.

And here’s  a cam recording of the actual presentation, just click the image below to play. Sorry about the potato quality of the recording.
